ICS Laboratories, Inc. was established in 1995 to provide testing and conformity assessment services for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and related devices. We are the leading independent laboratory in North America for testing and conformity assessment of PPE and one of the foremost in the world. We provide specialized, experienced testing of protective equipment for Eye and Face Protection, Helmet / Head Protection, Respiratory Protection, Biological and Chemical Protective Clothing and Ballistic Protective Body Armor, Vests, Plates and Shields. As a specialist facility, our reputation for expertise, competence and client service goes unparalleled.

Although specialized, the range of PPE products we address mandate the facilitation of a broad array of material characterizations. Our expertise includes thin film surface characterizations, environmental  (solar, temperature, humidity) simulation, ballistics and mechanical impact, advanced spectroscopy (UV, VIS and IR), geometric optics, gas sorbent filter evaluation, barrier material permeation, pressure dynamics and particle filtration performance evaluations.

Our facilities encompass six dedicated laboratories: ballistics, chemistry, environmental, mechanical, optical and respiratory, comprising over 10,000 square feet. Each laboratory is computer controlled for maintaining standard test atmosphere temperature and humidity.

Our testing and assessment capabilities are performed to worldwide standards. Our capabilities, knowledge and accreditations extend to all major markets addressing national and international (ISO) standards. For North America we facilitate ANSI, ASTM, CSA, MIL, NIJ, NIOSH, and NOM conformity assessments. For the Asian Pacific market, AS/NZS (SAI Global) and JIS conformity assessments.
We exist as the only laboratory outside Europe accredited to perform EN standards assessment for CE Certification. We work to assure NATO Force Protection with accredited and recognized testing to STANAG standards. Our international accreditation status, coupled with key alliances and recognition agreements with certification bodies in international markets enable us to facilitate turn-key conformity assessments and global market entry for our clients.

In addition to standards based conformity assessments, we are recognized for performing first article and on-going independent QA assessments for military protective equipment to national, and international and NATO force requirements. We also offer customized contract testing to customer specifications and advanced failure mode analysis -- assessing product performance beyond standards requirements.
